MSBL hosts Pitch, Hit & Run
After two weeks of rainouts, MSBL Kenosha finally hosted its inaugural Aquafina Pinch, Hit & Run competition on Sunday, May, 3 at Simmons Field.
The event, which is affiliated with Major League Baseball, is a national initiative that gives boys and girls, ages 7-14, an opportunity to participate in a baseball skills competition. It is intended to encourage youth participation and emphasize the "fun element" of baseball.
Nearly 30 boys and girls attended the local competition, testing their skills in hitting, pitching and running drills. The winners in each age group and individual event have advanced to sectional competition in Greenfield, Wis. From there, winners advance to team championships in June in all 30 Major League Baseball markets.

Also, we collected 169 pounds of used baseball equipment for Roberto's Kids, falling just short of our goal for 200 pounds.
